UNDERSTANDING BENGALS

Bengals are outgoing, curious , playful and affectionate
pets. They are rarely timid or reclusive and they easily blend
into the order of the family and bond with its members. They are
not vocal cats that pester their owners wanting to give their
opinions on everything but they will converse when encouraged
too.A interesting short barking sound is sometimes heared or
a strange chirping noise.
Many bengals like water and many will take an
univited dip into the bathtub or shower with their owners.Bengal
kittens frequently play with their water bowls or a toilet with
the lid up.Bengals have a affinity for heights and are accomplished
climbers. You can often find your adult bengal on top of one of
your doors or on a heigh bookcase, just watch that their is nothing
too valuable within their jumping reach as they may knock it
down by mistake.Bengals are usually sleek and athletic , very
possitive, independant cats who freely accept other animals including
dogs.If treated gently when small a kitten will grow
to be a gentle cat but if like any other breed it is treated
roughly then it will become withdrawn and defensive.Children
should therefore be shown how to handle kittens or other small
pets in the correct way.
